Mas de Jouas suits sociable families, single parents and new parents who have been missing those social occasions!! All meals are served in traditional chambres d'hôtes style with all guests eating together with us always joining in! We won an award from BFB in their "Foodies" category 2009!!! Breakfast is a mix of fresh fruit, cereals, differnt daily pastries, bread, yoghurts, jams, juices, tea and coffee. Mums and Dads with early rising children, or just early risers are welcome to come down to the kitchen early to make up bottles, give the little ones their cereal or just have a strong cuppa! We invite our guests to join us on the terrace in the evenings adorned by candlight and laterns for wonderful fun and conversation with all the guests accompanied by delicious gourmet meals prepared in-house by your host Abbi. Dishes are often prepared using popular South West France recipes and techniques, supplemented by Danny's carefully selected wine from neighbouring Cahors, Gaillac, Malbec and Marcillac. For that private time or anniversaries/birthdays we have been known to arrange a romantic candlelit meal for two on the terrace, and we love the opportunity to thrown a party! Our meals vary daily and we provide a weekly information sheet outlining dinners and days out alike, we do full 5-course dinners, but on some days we offer lighter meals, BBQ's, rustic meals, Paella, Sunday lunch, taster evenings and we order in our wonderful local pizzas for an early evening. We have ourselves a night off one night and you can either head out to a local restaurant or sample local market produce by having your own picnic on the terrace. We are happy to cater for vegetarians, celiacs and specific tastes as best we can. Childrens meals are served early every evening all together on the terrace with our children. We serve healthy kiddy friendly meals from roasts, fish fingers, pasta, sausages etc always served with veg and fruit is always available from the fruit bowl with dessert/yoghurt. There is a guest fridge where you can store food for picnics or snacks for your children and you are more than welcome to prepare salads and sandwiches to eat on the terrace at lunchtime, or we can provide picnic hampers/cool boxes and plates etc with our favourite recommended picnic spots in the Aveyron. Or even a fully loaded hamper! Drinks from the guest fridge are also included in the price and include soft drinks, wine by the glass, beer, water and milk. All other wine and champagne drunk on the premises must be purchased from our extensive wine list.
