Imagine the décor and atmosphere of a boutique hotel, sublime and sumptuous meals, warm and welcoming hosts and the most child-friendly facilities and surroundings, and you’re imagining the Mas de Jouas. Abbi and Danny Coman Ricketts have created a little piece of paradise in the lovely Aveyron region, and we couldn’t believe our luck in finding such effortless hospitality combined with such a high standard of accommodation.

When you’re holidaying with a toddler, you don’t usually expect to have a particularly romantic time, but thanks to Abbi and Danny’s understanding of children’s needs, our two-year-old was entertained, well fed, and snuggled up in bed every night in good time for us to spend our evenings enjoying Abbi’s amazing food, excellent wine, strolls under the stars, and all with the total peace of mind that comes with knowing your little one is perfectly safe and sound.

Not only did we double the length of our stay while we were there, we’re already aching to go back.
