Presented the "Baby Friendly Boltholes Top Rated Award 2008 and 2009" as one of the highest rated properties featured by BFB according to guest feedback. We also won awards for New Parent Rejuvenation, Single Parent holidays and Foodies!! POOL IS ALSO NOW HEATED!!! With two young children (3 and 6) of our own we understand the importance of keeping young ones occupied on a family holiday. We have a large well secured fenced and gated heated, and local council checked pool with easy access to the deeper area via a gentle slope that provides a shallow splash area, you can also walk right around the edge in the pool. There is a childrens play area with a sand pit, swings including a babyswing, normal swing, rope ladder, big slide with tower, climbing rope, baby slide and rocker, playhouse and more to come for '11; a plethora of other toys as well as plenty of space in the grounds. We have chickens, ducks, a swan, two very friendly dogs and cats!! Children are more than welcome to join us at feeding time and perhaps find an egg for brekkie The lounge area is kitted out with a DVD player (with 42" plasma and surround sound) and we can lend you some DVDs to give parents and kids a well earned break! Rooms also have DVDs! There are crayons, books, toys and games to keep little and older ones amused. One morning a week there is a paid workshop by musicians or professional child minders. We offer the option of children having an earlier child-friendly dinner together with their new friends whilst mum and dad have a well earned drink, then they can be popped to bed and parents can have some adult time in the evening with the knowledge of knowing they are tucked in just upstairs (just like at home), baby monitors welcome at dinner too! If you need it - we have it; from a changing mat with washable covers and toys and books, highchairs, travel stair gates, play mats, travel booster chairs to take to restaurants, toddler backpack for those non-pushchair friendly walks, bed guard, potties and trainer toilet seats, to steam steriliser, bottle warmer, childrens/babies plates, cups and cutlery. In the kitchen there is a microwave and a fridge exclusively for guests to use so you can store your own picnic food and snacks. Please ask us for family day out ideas or we can supply cool boxes/packs and essentials for your use on beautiful picnic days! We have a baby sling, bouncy chair, spare car seats and buggies, a foldup sun cot, play pen, baby walker and lots more...even emergency nappies, bibs and muslins! Milk is provided too! We can provide a holiday pack to reduce your luggage load if you are flying; nappies, snacks, wipes etc. we just add the cost of the shop to your final bill.
